This is a 3D printed 'B' pendant I designed and created. I had Shapeways.com 3D print it in sterling silver.
Here is the original hand drawn letter B in silver pen on black card. I used this photo to redraw the shape in Adobe Illustrator.
In Adobe Illustrator I traced the letter shape to vector lines so it can be scaled.
In Adobe Photoshop I can use the 3D workspace to extrude the Adobe Illustrator vector file, to give the letter depth. I used Blender to add a stretched torus as a jump ring.
This is a rough proof print on my 3D Printer at a larger scale to check the model is ok before sending it to the bureau for printing in sterling silver.
The final piece received from Shapeways. Just a quick polish and it is ready to be gifted.
