In 2017 I designed a new pet tag for Yuri our cat. Shapeways 3D printing bureau produced this in nickel coated steel.
I designed his name using the font Funkydori because is has lots of substitute ligatures for accenting capitol letters. I designed the type in Adobe Illustrator, then uploaded a .SVG into Tinkercad.com where I could extrude its height and add it to a cylindrical disk with a hole to attach it to his collar.
Here is a 3D printed proof that I printed to check the sizing and clearance was correct before sending it out to be manufactured.
